Dundas Connects Public Meetings, October 20-26

Oct 13, 2016

Dundas Street is changing, and you can be a part of this change. Over the spring and summer, the City heard from hundreds of people who live, work, learn, play and travel along Dundas Street. They were asked to reimagine Dundas Street to create a vision for the future, and based on what they told us, the City has developed a draft vision for Dundas Street. This vision will guide growth and change along the corridor in the coming years, particularly in terms of land use, transit and corridor design. This month, the City is holding a series of public meetings for residents to share their thoughts on how Dundas will look and feel in the future. Attend a public meeting and help develop your Dundas.

Background
Over the next 35 to 40 years, the number of people who live, work, learn, and travel along the corridor is expected to increase significantly. To manage this growth, the City is developing a Master Plan for Dundas Street. The Master Plan will make recommendations on what Mississauga can do to manage this growth, including how best to direct property development, what kind of rapid transit Dundas should have, and how public space should change in order to create the street that Mississauga needs. The Master Plan will cover the entirety of Dundas Street within the City of Mississauga.
