Key service improvements in 2012 are making it easier for people with disabilities in
Mississauga to get around the City, and to take advantage of library services. MiWay, the Citys transit system, is now
100 per cent accessible in Mississauga, and the Mississauga Library has just
added a new web page to help people find out about the accessible services and resources now
An accessible city is a city that serves everyone better, said Diana Simpson,

have a disability, and as our population ages, accessible services will be needed even
Simpson noted that MiWay recently added more accessible bus stops to the accessible services they
offer. Now, all transit routes in Mississauga are accessible. This enhances last
years achievement of having a 100 per cent accessible bus fleet.
Mississaugas libraries have a wide variety of materials and resources for people with
disabilities that will only grow over time. The library has a new one-stop web page to
highlight all the librarys accessible services and resources.
