City of Mississauga to Begin 2004 Budget Review

MISSISSAUGA, December 9, 2003 - The City of Mississauga Council's review of the recommended 2004 Budget will commence next Monday, December 15, 2003.

Commissioner of Corporate Services and Treasurer Janice Baker will present a budget overview in Council Chambers on Monday, December 15, 2003 at 9 a.m.

The overview presentation will be followed by departmental budget sessions held in Committee Room "A" in the Civic Centre. All budget sessions are open to the public.

The budget will be presented to Council for approval on Wednesday, January 21, 2004.

On Thursday, January 22, 2004 at 9 p.m., Mayor Hazel McCallion will host a Special Budget Hour on Rogers Television to discuss the budget. The Mayor will be joined by City Manager David O'Brien and Janice Baker. Members of the public are invited to call in with comments at 905-848-LIVE (5483).
