The Erindale GO Station is scheduled to be redeveloped this year. GO
Transit is proposing to add a six-storey, approximately 1,800 space parking garage to the site.
Construction of the garage structure is expected to commence in early April 2011, with
completion anticipated by September 2012. As part of the redevelopment of the site,
intersection improvements are proposed for the Creditview Road and Rathburn Road East
intersection and an additional exit from the site will be added to the Burnhamthorpe Road East
frontage. Internal changes to the site also include a relocation of the kiss and ride area and
the addition of a bus loop which will accommodate both GO Transit and Mississauga Transit buses
when the work is completed.
To facilitate the construction area and resultant loss of parking spaces during construction,
GO Transit has acquired the vacant lands located north of the existing parking lot. The lands
were previously owned by the Elia Corporation and are bordered by Rathburn Road West to the
south, Melia Drive to the north, Creditview Road to the east and the railway to the west. The
temporary parking lot will be operational before any construction begins on the parking garage.
Access to the temporary parking area be from the Rathburn Road East frontage with no access to
