Description: A two-page hand written letter on gray paper dated 27 Sept. /42. The return address is 1 Rostrevor Road, Dublin. It is addressed to Naomi from Emily Molony. The letter refers to having a student live with her; the shortage of coal and difficulty heating water for baths; high prices. It also refers to Weldon boys, their marriages; soldiering in England, and war work. Emily refers to herself as an old lady and speaks of her niece who is 67. The letter is written on both sides of each sheet of paper, A transcript is accessioned under 2005.1.161. History: The item is part of a box of original papers, letters, newspaper clippings, research notes and transcripts compiled and transcribed by Geoffrey and Kathleen Sayers. Emily Molony was the daughter of Weldon Molony, Elizabeth Molony Harris's brother. Emily would have been a cousin to Bessie, Lucy and Arthur Harris and second cousin to Naomi Harris.
