Description: An embroidered gift pocket framed in an embossed paperboard post card. The frame is 1.9 cm in depth, embossed with a floral (rose-like) motif, 3 in each corner, 1 on each side, with a chain motif (oval-shaped) joining the flowers together. The gift pocket is made in two pieces, embroidered 6 strand on a very fine batiste-type fabric. The lower portion of the pocket has a holly leaf and berry in each lower corner, and "Hearty Christmas Greetings" in red script. The upper portion of the pocket, the flap, is embroidered with a brown wheel barrow with two pansy-like flowers, two clusters of holly, and one cluster of white berries and leaves. The lower edge is overcast with white, plus four small scallops. The backing is plain solid paper board. On the proper right there are 5 printed lines, for an address. Near the centre at the bottom is a logo with the words "Fabrication Franšaise" (in black ink) surrounding the letters "P.R.". At the top there are two motifs: the proper left appears to be a soldier raising a flag; the proper right is incomplete.

Cards donated with apron. Accompanying Christmas card and enclosure cards indicate that the apron might have been a gift from Walter (?) to his mother, possibly the donor.
