Description: A colour photograph of Scott Gillies during the Mississauga Day event at the Canadian National Exhibition (CNE). Mr. Gillies is demonstrating the use of a shaving horse and is wearing a white shirt and dark slacks. In the background are tables and display boards.

Historic demonstrations were part of the promotional activities set up by the Bradley House Museum during the Mississauga Day event at the Canadian National Exhibition. The event took place on Saturday, August 18th, 1990.

Founded in 1879, the Canadian National Exhibition (or The Ex) is "Canada's largest annual community event." It takes place in August over an 18 day period ending on Labour Day. The CNE offers: rides, games, live entertainment, working farms, parades, shopping, international food, sports, and an air show. Approximately 1.3 million people visit the 192 acre lakefront property each year. Source:
