Description: Plate has a blue transfer printed design over a white body on the face of the plate. The back is white and the plate is oval with a scalloped rim. The rim also has a raised moulded design in white around the plate edge and a blue printed floral border. In the centre of the plate is a Chinese water and landscape scene with two figures, pagoda-like buildings, and vegetation that is prominent in the foreground. Marked on the underside of the rim is an elaborate blue transfer print rococo floral and scroll cartouche enclosing script, 'Chinese Porcelain.' '6' is impressed on the back of the plate. Made by 'Rodgers' Staffordshire.
