This fun, hands-on program gives children the chance to discover the reality of daily farm
life in the 1830's and 1840's through "question & answer" exploration of the
Bradley's family home, and through a variety of hands-on activities which vary with the season
and may include wool carding, baking over an open fire, butter churning, playing with
reproduction toys or candle dipping. (Ties in with Social Studies Unit, Heritage &
Grade 3; Cost $4.25/student; Duration 1-1.5 hours; Offered year-round, excluding Christmas
season (mid November to year-end) and the entire month of March.
