Harris Family Gallery
Photograph - Captain James Harris

The Harris Family had lived in Benares Historic House and Clarkson since 1835. Four generations of the family had lived in Benares Historic House and they were instrumental in the growth and development of this area. The Harrises were strong supporters of St. Peter's Anglican Church and were involved in both local politics and charity organizations. Geoffrey Harris Sayers was the last member of the family to live in Benares.
