Description: A colour photograph of grade 2 to 6 students skipping inside the Great Hall at the Civic Centre. The young students are all wearing t-shirts and shorts with running shoes and are jumping rope in the hall. There are other students that are watching the skipping participants and are either standing or sitting by the stairs.

On February 1st, 1988, 150 students from Meadowvale Public School participated in a skip-a-thon marathon held at the Civic Centre Great Hall to raise money for the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario. February marks heart month across Canada to promote awareness about heart disease in the country.
