Description: A plate with a blue transfer printed design over a white body on the face of the plate. The back is white. The plate is round and the rim is scalloped with a raised moulded design in white around the plate edge. The rim is extended on two sides of the plate into handles, which are decorated with blue floral print. A blue printed floral border surrounds a Chinese landscape and architectural scene in the centre of the plate. Marked on the underside of the rim is an elaborate blue transfer printed rococo floral and scroll cartouche enclosing script, 'Chinese Porcelain.' Impressed on the back is '(R)odgers'. Made by 'Rodgers' Staffordshire.
