Description: A legal document folded in half and then into thirds. Partly printed in type with sections filled in handwriting. On the centre section (front when folded) the title reads, "Crown Sale Grant to Joseph Graham, 240 Acres, Gore Toronto, Home District, Recorded 2nd February, 1843, 35, (Signature), Registrar". On the inside, top left corner, there is a paper seal (9.5 x 8.5 cm) glued diagonally. The seal is embossed, red rim mostly worn away. The centre of the seal is round, embossed with a coat-of-arms. It is very worn and cracked. Some of the embossed writing on the seal reads: "Victoria ? Britannica ?? Regina, FI? DEP. Sigillum Provincial Canada". There are several signatures on the document. History: Crown Sale Grant to Joseph Graham, 240 Acres, Gore Toronto, Home District, 2nd February, 1843. Gore Toronto Township is part of County of Peel, and is located between The Townships of Chinguacousy and Toronto to the west and York County to the east.
