|Description: Colour photograph of a group from the Mississauga Track Club. Mayor McCallion is near the centre of the photo wearing a yellow suit. The group is standing on a track. The six people at the front of the picture are posing in a start position for a race. There is a man on the right of the picture holding a starting gun, pretending as if he’s about to shoot it. |
"Mississauga Track and Field Club (MTFC) was established in 1969 to service the Mississauga community. In the seventies MTFC was a large age group club, however today the club has approximately 50 active members mainly between the ages of 13 and 19 of age. A few members attend Universities in Canada and the United States. A few are also in the masters (40 +) category."
