|Description: A white cup and saucer with blue and gold decoration. .1) The saucer has a blue line and an inner gold line around the edge. Around the inside of the saucer is written "Kariya International Friendship Association" twice. In the centre "since 1983". The bottom of the saucer has a gold symbol. In the top left hand corner of the gold symbol is a tiny 'world' motif and at the bottom right is written "KIFA" (visible with a magnifying glass). The cup .2) is bowl-shaped with a simple handle; the blue and gold line decoration is at an angle with the lines crossing over each other. |
Given to the Museums of Mississauga by the Kariya International Friendship Association on a trip to Bradley Museum in July 2007.
Mississauga and Kariya, Japan were twinned on July 7, 1981. Both City's have a park in each others honour and they regularly send delegations.
