|Description: A curtain made out of two fabrics. The curtain has a red background and paisley design of black, blue, green and yellow. The edges are sewn with red thread. There is a casing for a curtain rod to go through. |
A curtain is a piece of cloth intended to block or obscure light, or draughts, or water in the case of a shower curtain. Curtains are often hung on the inside of a building's window to block the travel of light, for instance at night to aid sleeping, or to stop light from escaping outside the building (stopping people outside from being able to see inside, often for privacy reasons). This curtain was made of a bright and decorative cloth possibly hung in a living room, somewhere where the fabric would be seen.
