Description: A reproduction wooden spinning wheel with a dark brown stain finish, three turned, slightly splayed legs, and a paddle shaped pedal. The rectangle shaped saddle has chamfered upper edges. There is a round raised base for the 'mother-of-all' at higher end of the saddle. The 'mother-of-all' is decorated with turning and grooves. It has a 'v' shaped flyer with two rows of five hooks.

This Spinning wheel is a reproduction of a Hebridean type, made in Scotland. See Judith Buxton Keenlyside's "Selected Canadian Spinning Wheels in Perspective: An Analytical Approach" (Ottawa: National Museums of Canada, 1980).
