Description: A pale yellow fine wool cape, shaped like a half circle. On the main body of the garment is a ruffle made of the cape's matching fabric and embroidered by machine. Piping has been used where ruffle is attached. Lining is in three sections: centre is of white wool, two side sections of silk. Interfacing is evident between outer fabric and lining. The neck hole has not been finished or the collar has been removed. There is only one tie at the neck.

Worn by donor Mrs. Doris Leavers (d. March 9, 1987) as a child. She was born in England and moved to Canada in 1914.

Doris Patchett Leavers married Leslie Leavers and raised their two sons, Frank and Bill, in Port Credit where they had a home located at 56 Forest Ave. Their eldest son, Frank (d. September 25, 2008) became the last Reeve for the Village of Port Credit and served for some time as a Councillor for the City of Mississauga.
