Description: A man's dark green wool dress coat. The coat is single breasted cut away style. It has a 3-button front. The long waistline is marked by horizontal stitching which attaches 'skirt' portion of coat. The coat is cut away at the front. The back has a 38 cm vent. There is a pleat on each side of the vent and a fabric covered (2.0 cm diam.) button at the top of each pleat. The sleeves have 9 cm wide cuffs which taper slightly to the wrist. Two covered buttons on each cuff. There is a temporary 3 cm tuck at the cuff line to shorten each sleeve. There are three covered buttons on the coat front. The coast is lined in black silk with two inner pockets. The sleeves are lined in white striped cotton. A green and white embroidered ladies handkerchief tied in a knot is in one breast pocket.

The donor, Dorothy Ellen Lunau (nee Speck), is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W.H. Speck of Port Credit. On Saturday March 13th, 1943 she married Lieut. Lloyd Alfred Lunau, C.D.C of Oakville in Sheridan United Church.
