Description: A colour photograph of Mayor Hazel McCallion and two unidentified men holding a red ribbon to commemorate the launch of the City Centre Shuttle Bus. Mayor McCallion is wearing a grey suit jacket with matching skirt and a red blouse. The two unidentified men are wearing dark suits. The trio is holding a red ribbon that is wrapped around the purple shuttle bus parked at Civic Square.

Shuttle bus services were provided to the downtown area of Mississauga in early December of 1989. Several developers from Mississauga paid over $500,000 to cover the cost of the three shuttle buses purchased, while the City of Mississauga covered the annual operating costs. The service was operated by Chatham Coach Lines and ran along a 3 mile route from Monday to Saturday. The purpose of the service was to encourage the use of public transit in the City Centre area.
