The Miss Teen Mississauga is a local pageant linked with the wider Miss Teen International organization. Awards from these pageants include scholarships for women to purse post secondary education. Young girls between the ages of 13 and 18 participate and work towards promoting awareness of various issues and causes. The winner from Miss Teen has the chance to compete for Miss Teen Canada and eventually Miss Teen International.
