Description: A large black and white photograph with white borders. Photograph of Ben Soloman standing inside a classroom giving a speech. To Mr. Soloman's proper right is a framed picture of Queen Elizabeth, as well as a framed certificate that reads "Rotary International".

Ben Soloman was an author, lecturer, and leadership training expert who gave talks to the Toronto Township Recreation Department regarding the running of summer camps.

Photograph taken September 23rd 1957 at either old Cooksville United church on Dundas or at another location in Applewood Village.

The Toronto Township Recreation Department formed in 1947 and offered organized sports and recreation to residents. Jerry Love was hired in 1959 to organize sport clinics for youth in summer playgrounds across the township.

William (Bill) Hare was also a director for the Toronto Township Recreation and Parks Department in the mid 1950s.
