Description: A colour photograph with white borders. Photograph of local politicians and dignitaries during the farewell to the Queen Mother at the International Airport in Malton on July 2nd 1979. The Queen Mother is at the far left of the photograph and is wearing a printed light blue and green dress with a white purse and shoes. To her proper left stands some local dignitaries including Mayor Hazel McCallion, wearing a yellow suit jacket with matching skirt and the chain-of-office around her neck.

The Queen Mother visited Canada from June 29 to July 2nd 1979. She spent three days in Halifax and four days in Toronto. The Queen Mother had her departure ceremony at Toronto International Airport inside an Air Canada 747 Hanger located on Airport Road in Malton. She departed to London aboard a Canadian Forces Boeing 707.
