Description: The appliqué pattern of tulips and leaf border is green cotton, while the tulip flowers are in red and golden yellow cotton. History: The quilt was made by Lydia Stricker (Mrs Jacob) ca 1860. Mrs Stricker came to the United States from Germany in 1842 at the age of two. She lived in New York State until her marriage, when she moved to Michigan, near Detroit. The gift is from the maker's grand daughter.
