More than 100,000 people will come together to celebrate Canadas birthday at the
Mississauga Civic Centre with Mayor Hazel McCallion and Members of Council. This year we are
making the event bigger and better than ever before!
Indulge your taste buds with various multi-cultural food vendors while you observe day time
performances at the Library Square by Bob the Builder, sponsored by Square One, the Japanese
Drumming show, Princess Show, the Chinese Lion dance and Break dancing moves you dont
want to miss!
Visit the Kids Fun at Square One and enjoy strolling, stilt walkers, face painting, a 50ft
rock climbing wall, mini car circuit, YTVs Weird on Wheels and free temporary
tattoos!

Tour Civic Square and Prince Royal Drive and meet the Mississauga St. Michaels Majors,
play the Toronto Blue Jays batting cages, watch the Slam Jam and Moutain Bike Trix and
Trial Show, test your video game skills, sing karaoke, enjoy a model boat regatta and
learn with the road safety show!

To beat the summer heat, visit the Living
Arts Centre and enjoy the Opera Luminata show! Be inspired by the magic and beauty of
classical music alongside exciting pyrotechnic, lighting and atmospheric effects.
Join the Central Library and enjoy Friends of the Library book sale and movies in the Noel
Ryan Theatre.
Mississaugas own Gemini award-winner, funny man Mike Bullard will emcee the
evening, main-stage entertainment. Concert performances will include: Hotel California, Mashall
Dane, Sloan and Kreesha Turner as they set the stage for an explosive 20-minute fireworks
show sponsored by Metro. Dont miss out on the fun!
