Description: A newspaper clipping dated September 27, 1912 from The Evening Telegram regarding the will of Edith Grant. The paper published parts of her will, listing names, and what they were bequeathed including jewellery, furniture, and monetary bequests. Names mentioned include her nieces: Katie Sayers, and Helen Sayers; Arthur D.C. Grant of New York, her brother, Edith Draper, Katie Ridout and a nephew, James Henderson. The Hospital for Sick Children received $100.00.

Mary Edith Grant (1849 ca - 1912) was a long time resident of Toronto was a close friend to Kate Sayers, Helen Sayers and Edith Draper who were all relatives by marriage of Annie Sayers neé Harris. When Edith passed away on September 7 1912 at age 63 she named Kate Sayers as one of her executors of her will. She also gave some jewellery pieces and other items to her friends Kate, Helen and Edith Draper. Miss Grant never married and lived at West Charles Street in Toronto. Her father was Alexander Grant a registrar of the Court of Appeals and her mother was Annie Radenhurst.
