The 2010 Olympic Torch Relay will Travel through Mississauga

Olympic Torch Relay
On Saturday, December 19, 2009, the City of Mississauga will host the Olympic Flame on its way
to the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games and Paralympic Games. The event will take
place at the north side of Mississauga Civic Centre, Princess Royal and Living Arts Drive from
10:45 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
The 2010 Olympic Torch Relay will begin its 106-day
Canadian journey on October 30, 2009, arriving in Vancouver for the opening ceremony on
February 12, 2010. The route will be the longest domestic Torch Relay in Olympic history,
stretching over 45,000 kilometres through Canada and passing through more than 1,000
communities. Over 90 per cent of the Canadian population will be within an hour's drive
of experiencing the 2010 Olympic Torch Relay.
