Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ's)

Why is my condominium townhouse address different from the unit number in my legal description?
Answer
For all condominium townhouse developments, the City of Mississauga’s Fire and Emergency Services assigns municipal address unit numbers to the individual units in a way that would make sense to the crews who respond to emergencies. The addresses are to be posted on each unit and on a sign in front of the complex.

The combination of a street number and this unit number is the correct postal address for your unit. The legal description (for example, LEVEL 1 UNIT 1 of Peel Condominium Corporation 999) is used by the Land Registry Office when you are buying and selling your property.
