Wedding Chapel
Wedding Chapel

Thank you for your interest in the City of Mississauga's Chapel facility. We hope that we can provide you with the best possible service for your very special day.


To book the Wedding Chapel contact the Customer Service Centre, Facilities Booking Office, 905-615-4100, located in the Central Library, Ground Floor, 301 Burnhamthorpe Rd, West. Mississauga.

Booking hours are Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 8:00am - 5:00pm, Tuesday 8:00am - 8:00pm and Saturday 9:00am - 1:00pm.

Chapel Bookings and General Information
The Chapel is located in Mississauga Civic Centre, 2nd Floor, and is available from Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.. . Please note that all doors of the Civic Centre (except the North doors facing the Living Arts Centre) are locked Monday to Friday at 6:30 p.m. and all day Saturday and Sunday. The Chapel can accommodate up to 38 people. The fee for the 1/2 hour use of the Chapel is payable to the 'City of Mississauga' and is non-refundable.

Please note that food and beverages are not allowed in or around the Chapel. Confetti, rice or other throwables are also not allowed in or adjacent to the Civic Centre. Also, no lit candles are permitted within the Civic Centre.

IMPORTANT - The Civic Centre is closed on Thanksgiving Weekend and Christmas week. No weddings can take place during these dates.

Ministers
There is a fee for the minister's services and this is to be determined directly with the individual. You are to provide your own minister.

Music for your Wedding
If you require an organist and do not have your own, you may contact the Mississauga Arts Council at 905-615-4278 and they will provide you with a contact name and number. There is a fee for the organist's services and this is to be discussed directly with this individual.

Reception and Catering
The City of Mississauga offers a variety of facilities in which to hold receptions.Contact the facilities Booking Office 905-615-4100 for details. Catering Services are available for groups of 50 to 150 in the Tower Garden Cafe located on the 12th floor of the Civic Centre. For information on the Tower Garden Cafe facilities, call 905-615-3111.

Photographs
There are many beautiful places within the Civic Centre for those who wish to take pictures. The Great Hall, Conservatory, Garden, and Civic Square are available on a first-come first-serve basis.

IMPORTANT - The Civic Centre is closed on Thanksgiving Weekend and Christmas week. No wedding photographs can be taken during these dates.

Nearby parks, such as Kariya Park, and our Lakefront parks may also provide a memorable setting for your pictures. For further information on City of Mississauga Parks, contact Facility Bookings at 905-615-4100.

Licence
An Ontario Marriage Licence may be obtained from the Clerk's Office on the 3rd Floor, Mississauga Civic Centre, 905-896-5000. The licence is valid for 89 days from the date of issue.

The Province requires two (2) persons 18 years of age or over to witness the wedding ceremony.  (new wording, can we have it as a sentence on its own.

While You Wait
Both the Great Hall and the 2nd floor lobby are available as waiting areas before your wedding service. Last minute adjustments can be made in a room adjacent to the Chapel on the 2nd floor. Washroom facilities are available on the 2nd floor.
