Mayor Hazel McCallion will celebrate her 85th birthday this February 14th and in honour of this very special occasion the staff at the City of Mississauga will officially kick off a month-long Hazelýs Hope Birthday Campaign commencing on February 13. Launched in partnership with Mississauga News and Square One Shopping Centre, the Hazelýs Hope Birthday Campaign will give residents a chance to send the Mayor a birthday wish and donate a tooney to Hazelýs Hope, which raises funds to assist children affected by HIV/AIDS in Tanzania. Hazel's Hope is an initiative by Mayor Hazel McCallion (in partnership with World Vision Canada) to invite and encourage the citizens of Mississauga to join together to help the hundreds of thousands of children affected by HIV/AIDS in Tanzania. If you are interested in sending a personal birthday wish to the Mayor please visit the Great Hall, Mississauga Civic Centre, 300 City Centre Drive or Square One's Customer Service Desk, located on the ground floor of the Square one Shopping Centre from February 13 to March 10 for your birthday wish envelope and drop off box location.
