Yesterday, in a 7 to 4 recorded vote, Mississauga Council passed a resolution setting terms of reference for a judicial inquiry to be conducted by a Superior Court judge; this decision follows a report from an outside lawyer on conflicts of interest with respect to the City's purchase of lands within the City Centre.
Council passed several amendments to the terms of reference developed and presented by City
Solicitor Mary Ellen Bench in a corporate report entitled "Judicial Inquiry" leading
Council to raise questions about other matters involving the same parties.
