Draft Cycling Master Plan Public Information Session

Apr 07, 2010

The draft Cycling Master Plan will be shared with residents at a public information session on Monday, April 19, 2010.

“We developed the draft plan by taking into account international best practices as well as relevant legislation and guidelines. Most importantly though, over 1,000 Mississauga citizens have already provided their input,” said Anne Farrell, planner, Community Services. “We are returning to the public after the consultation process to show how their recommendations have helped shape the final plan.”

What: Presentation and discussion of the draft Cycling Master Plan. The master plan provides direction on creating an integrated cycling network of on and off-road routes to connect communities and destinations throughout the City. The plan focuses on the development and design of cycling routes, cycling amenities such as parking, education and safety. Established as a long-term strategy, it will be reviewed every five years.

When: Monday, April 19, 7 to 9 p.m.
          Presentation begins at 7:30 p.m.

Where: Noel Ryan Auditorium
           Mississauga Central Library
           301 Burnhamthorpe Rd. W.
(Burnhamthorpe Rd. W. and Duke of York Blvd.)

           Bike racks available.
