The City of Mississauga will operate four of its indoor pools on reduced hours for recreational swims on Canada Day. These pools, normally closed on statutory holidays, will provide residents with additional aquatic facilities during Recreational Infrastructure Canada (RInC) renovations to six of the City's outdoor pools.
The following pools are open for Fun Swims on Thursday, July 1:
Frank Mckechnie Community Centre Pool
Erin Meadows Community Centre Pool
Frank Mckechnie Community Centre Pool will also be open for Length/Lane Swims from noon to 1 p.m. Don McLean/Westacres Pool at 2166 Westfield Drive is the City's only outdoor pool operating during the 2010 season. It will offer its regular Fun Swim from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. The City's 17 spray pads (with the exception of Clarkson Community Centre spray pad) will also operate during regular hours. For summer recreational swim schedules see www.mississauga.ca/swimming.
