What is the difference between a Registered and Non-Registered PRESTO card?
All PRESTO cards are non-registered until a customer registers their PRESTO card.
Non-Registered (Anonymous) PRESTO Cards:
Non-registered cardholders can: - Check their e-purse balance and the last 10 transactions online - Load money onto the card (e-purse) online with a credit card - Anonymous cards purchased online do not require activation
Note: No customer information is associated to the card.
Registered PRESTO Cards:
Registered cardholders can: - Recover their balance if their card is lost or stolen - PRESTO offers one overdraft trip for registered cardholders - Set up autoload to automatically reload your card - Obtain a Transit Usage Report for tax purposes
