Preliminary Zoning Review Applications (PREAPP)
Prior to applying for a building permit, the City of Mississauga Zoning Section offers customers the opportunity to have a proposal reviewed for zoning compliance. If a problem is identified an applicant can decide to revise the proposal to deal with the problem or apply to Committee of Adjustment for a minor variance. A preliminary zoning application review is for information purposes only and does NOT constitute a formal approval.
How to Apply
Preliminary zoning review applications must be submitted online via ePlans using the "building permit" request type. The "Description of proposed work" MUST state "PRELIMINARY ZONING REVIEW ONLY - [SCOPE OF WORK]". For more information, visit www.mississauga.ca/eplanshelp
The following information must be uploaded into ePlans:
- Metric site plan or survey, indicating existing and proposed, setbacks to all property lines, lot dimensions, building dimensions, parking spaces, building area, lot area, etc.
- Fully dimensioned floor plans identifying all rooms/uses for all floors
- A letter outlining the in detail the project scope and the proposed use.
Application fee: $413.10 (2020)
