Description: Toronto Township Hockey League players would visit Maple Leaf Gardens on a Saturday and meet members of the NHL. Fred Stanfield was one of five brothers from the Dixie area of Toronto Township who all played professional hockey. Fred played in Toronto Township, and then with the St. Catherine Teepees, before going to the Chicago Blackhawks. He played with both the Blackhawks and the St. Louis Braves, before being traded to Boston. Jerry Love worked for Recreation and Parks, Toronto Township, later the City of Mississauga, for 35 years, retiring in 1991. Original photo at Museums of Mississauga. Description as of June 2013.
