Description: 337 Queen Street South. Plan STR, 3, pt. Lot 4. This was a one-and-a-half storey structure with a stucco finish. The building had gable ends with cornice returns. There was a single gable with a round arched window on the front fašade. The house was built ca 1850 by an Englishman, Nicholas Vivian Kent, a carpenter. Kent married Elizabeth Brookbank. His tombstone in Streetsville Cemetery reads: Nicholas Kent, b. 1822, d. 1911, Native of Cornwall, England. Formerly listed on the Heritage Register, the house was demolished in 2003. This 1989 photo shows the entrance on the north side. Description as of March 2011.
