Description: 5378 Winston Churchill Blvd. Conc 11 NDS, pt. Lot 3. There are two barns on this property, a Two Bay Gable and a Raised Two Bay Gable. Both are built with vertical board siding and metal sheeting on the gable roof. The Two Bay barn, like the Central Ontario barn, was designed to be a general purpose structure, but a much smaller building. It provided limited stable facilities, some storage space for crops and tools and a small working space. Its most notable feature is the absence of a foundation storey. The Raised Two Bay barn is virtually identical to the Two Bay but with the addition of a foundation storey. This foundation storey was commonly used as a stable and reflects a larger livestock concentration on the farm. These barns are on the John McCracken property which is listed on the Heritage Register. Description as of April 2011.
