Description: Unveiling of the Sir William Pearce Howland historical plaque in Confederation Square, Cooksville, 16 August 1967, as part of Canada's Centennial celebration. Howland was Lieutenant-Governor of Ontario from 1868 to 1873 and a Father of Confederation. Photo shows W. G. C. Howland, great grandson of Sir William Pearce Howland, with women in period costume. Photograph taken by the late Richard Holborn. Original photograph at Museums of Mississauga. Description as of April 2012.
