The Mississauga Symphonic Association was formed in 1972 under the leadership of Dr. Boyd Neel, former Dean of the Royal Conservatory of Music and Director of the Hart House Orchestra. The first rehearsal of the Mississauga Symphony was held in the fall of 1972 at Cawthra Park Secondary School. Now known as Orchestras Mississauga, under the direction of John Barnum, and includes Mississauga Symphony, Mississauga Philharmonic, and Sinfonia Mississauga. |
