Description: The Mississauga Central Lions Club has managed the Square One farmers market in the parking lots adjacent to Square One since 1975, on Fridays and Sundays, between June and early November. It has been for some time the largest outdoor farmers markets in Ontario, Canada. The market is now situated in the parking lot of the Cineplex Cinemas Mississauga (formerly Coliseum Mississauga) at 309 Rathburn Road West, Mississauga, Ont. L5B 4C1.

Over its history the market has been in five sites around Square One: first by Mississauga¿s first City Hall (demolished many years ago), then it was at the far north end of the Wal-Mart Supercentre parking lot for many years, in 2006 it moved to the south side of the mall adjacent to the Mississauga Civic Centre. For the 2007 season, the market was moved again, this time to a larger location at the northwest parking lot of the mall, near what was then the Zellers department store which was taken over by Target Canada in 2013. In anticipation of this takeover the farmers market was moved to its current location noted above.

The Mississauga Central Lions Club acknowledges the support of Oxford Property Management, OMERS and the prior owners of Square One in generously allowing the use of the parking areas around Square One for the farmers market; which is the Mississauga Central Lions Clubs¿ largest fundraiser. The club has raised and donated over $4M to the community over its years of operation. Visit Mississauga Central Lions Clubs Supported Organizations for details of recipients.
