Description: The photo shows a group of Cooksville residents waiting at the old railway station for the train to go on a picnic. The station was located where the CPR tracks cross Dundas Street East just east of the village of Cooksville. Originally built 1878, by the Credit Valley Railway who bought the property in 1874 for $407.00. The Credit Valley Railway went bankrupt in 1883 and the CPR station burned. A second station was built and became the Moisey residence 1929-1951 when it was moved to Dundas Street. A third station was built in 1912 and demolished in 1975.
