|Description: Kindree Cemetery is located on the south side of Derry Road West between Ninth Line to the west and Tenth Line to the east. The cemetery is believed to be a burial ground of the children of Nathan and Mary Kindree. |
The stones are a testatment to the difficulty of life in the early nineteenth century. The children died between 1829 and 1839 - three girls died from tuberculosis, the causes of the other deaths are unknown. Nathan and Mary Kindree had a total of children, five of which survived and raised their own families in the same area.
There are over thirty (30) unaccounted burials in Kindree Cemetery.
