Description: Rattray Estate, Bexhill Road. Conc 3 SDS, Lot 27. Built 1918-1920 by H. H. Fudger of Simpson’s, who had purchased the property as a summer residence. Fudger died in 1930 and the estate was administered by the National Trust. It was eventually sold to Major Rattray. The photograph was taken in 1930. Barrymede was eventually demolished ca 1970 as part of the development of the Rattray Estates. |
