Description: Josiah Mason built this house of worship for a Methodist congregation that established itself in Meadowvale Village. They met on John Beatty’s farm beginning in 1821. A frame structure, on Maiden Lane, Streetsville, housed the church from 1835 to 1847, when it was replaced by a brick building at or near the same site. Reverend Egerton Ryerson laid the cornerstone of and dedicated the current High Victorian Gothic structure.
