Description: 1173 Queen Victoria Avenue. Conc 2 SDS, Plan h-13, pt. 25. The following is from the Heritage Property Database: The Bungalow was a style developed in California which provided a high pitched roof allowing for the concealment of bedrooms and for more spacious living areas on the ground floor. The overall style was suited to harmonizing with the landscape, while the overall appearance is more of a one storey structure although most Bungalows are a storey and a half.

The prominent features include extensive porches and overhanging eaves allowing for an extension of the living space into the outdoors. The Davey home is typical of the Bungalow style with its rustic stucco finish, grouped windows and window detailing. Designated under the terms of the Ontario Heritage Act.
