Description: 2516 Eglinton Avenue, formerly Lower Base Line. Conc 2 NDS, pt. Lot 34. A one and a half storey farmhouse, built ca 1860 by William Shane of multicolour brickwork with a steep central gable with gingerbread. An open verandah ran the full length of the front facade. It was previously designated under the terms of the Ontario Heritage Act, however the house was left empty in the 1990s and was so vandalized that it had to be demolished in 1997. This 1989 photo is of the north front fašade showing the treillage along the verandah.
