Description: 54 William Street. Plan STR, 2, Lot 75. This is a one-and-a-half storey house, built of stucco with brick infill between framing timbers, a rare construction method for Mississauga. It was built in the 1860s by Samuel Brookbank, an English carpenter. A fine example of Gothic Revival style, it is designated under the terms of the Ontario Heritage Act. This photo, taken in 1984, shows one of the ground floor windows.
