Description: 54 William Street. Plan STR, 2, Lot 75. This is a one-and-a-half storey house, built of stucco with brick infill between framing timbers, a rare construction method for Mississauga. It was built in the 1860s by Samuel Brookbank, an English carpenter. A fine example of Gothic Revival style, it is designated under the terms of the Ontario Heritage Act. This photo, taken in 1984, shows the pump located at the front of the house.
