Description: The following is from a corporate report dated March 10, 2005, from Community Services, recommending additions to the Heritage Inventory: "According to land registry records J. S. Gordon purchased the property at 11 Oakwood Avenue North from the Port Credit Land Company in 1918. Ten years later the land was sold to Ursula and Ivan Tompkin for $2.00, suggesting that nothing had been built on the property as yet. The Tompkins likely built the house soon after they purchased the property and lived there until 1953.

Over the next few decades there were numerous owners of this property. The design of this building suggests that it has roots in the Prairie architectural style of the Arts and Crafts Tradition, popular between 1900 and 1940." Listed on the Heritage Property inventory.
